Description
A female House Sparrow hunting for insects on conifer tree.
House sparrows can be found from the centre of cities to the farmland of the countryside, they feed and breed near to people.
Nests are often placed in holes and crevices within buildings and they will readily use nest boxes. Free-standing nests are also frequently built, in creepers against walls and in thick hedges or conifers.
It is another endangered, red listed species, due to a severe decline in the UK.
