The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Pyracantha (Firethorn) is an attractive shrub which has pretty white flowers and magnificent red, yellow or orange fruits in autumn and winter.
The fruits are classified as pomes and can be made into jellies, they are also an important food source for birds in the winter.
