An old blue police box located in the Grassmarket, now adapted and used as an ice cream kiosk.
The beat box system of policing was introduced to Edinburgh City Police in 1933.
This box stands in it's original location and was known as number 9A (A Division) in 1933 and subsequently 6A in the 1970's.
Compact in size, they contained a desk, filing cabinet, stool, telephone, sink, power, water and a prisoner seat!
Welcome! I am an Artist/Photographer based in Edinburgh, Scotland. My interests are wide and varied and this is reflected in my subject matter. I enjoy finding the beauty in even the most mundane subjects and the challenge of depicting the small details which are sometimes overlooked.
