Artist's Description
Located at Hawes Pier, just west of the Forth Rail Bridge, is the Queensferry Lifeboat Station. It is run by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) and it provides a marine search and rescue service on the River Forth covering the area upstream and downstream of South Queensferry. It was originally established in an old ticket office in 1968 and is Scotland's busiest inshore Lifeboat station.
