The mute swan (Cygnus olor) is the largest and heaviest water bird in the British Isles. Although designated as Mute they do make hissing and honking sounds but do not make any noise in flight. The only sound is the beating of the wings.
Welcome! I am an Artist/Photographer based in Edinburgh, Scotland. My interests are wide and varied and this is reflected in my subject matter.
