Description
Camilty Forest in West Lothian straddles the Lang Whang, the A70 main road between Edinburgh and Ayr, offering some welcome shelter. The road’s name comes from a Scots word for a leather strap or bootlace, and at this point the bootlace is draped over the wild, open moorland that surrounds it.
A peaceful forest on the edge of the Pentland Hills Regional Park, there are lots of informal forest trails that wind their way through Camilty and offer beautiful views of wild scenery.
