Zwilling J. A. Henckels is a knife manufacturer based in Solingen, Germany. It is one of the largest and oldest manufacturers of kitchen knives, scissors, cookware and flatware.
On 13 June 1731 Peter Henckels registered the "Zwilling" logo with the Cutlers’ Guild of Solingen. This makes Zwilling one of the oldest trademarks in the world.
Built in the Art Nouveau Style in 1907 by architects J. Wendler and Otto Heinrich Westphal.
The façade is decorated with beautiful mosaic work, statues and the famous Zwilling (German for Twin) brand logo depicted in gold. The building is classified as a cultural monument and example of a Kontorhaus - office/retail, low-rise, 6 floors.
